His main areas of interest include mental health, addictions, and cognitive development in children. He is currently working as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in the Mental Health Department at Mohamed Tahar Maamouri Hospital in Nabeul, Tunisia

Research Interest: Breast cancer represents a highly stressful event in a woman’s life, with significant physical and psychological consequences. Therefore, it is essential to examine the psychological factors that influence quality of life in this population. The aim of this study was to explore the relationships between quality of life, depression, and anxiety in Tunisian women with breast cancer. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study involving 140 women over the age of 18, diagnosed with breast cancer and receiving follow-up care at hospitals and/or private clinics in Nabeul and Tunis. Participants were assessed using the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) for quality of life, the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). A sociodemographic questionnaire was also administered. The results revealed a moderate level of quality of life, accompanied by high scores of depression and anxiety, with about one-third of the participants reaching clinical thresholds. Correlation analyses showed a significant association between quality of life, depression, and anxiety. Regression analysis indicated that depression and anxiety were the main negative predictors of quality of life. These findings highlight the importance of considering mental health in the overall assessment of women with breast cancer and suggest the integration of psychological care into treatment pathways.
